Domingos Law Firm announces that its founder, immigration attorney Gloria Domingos Romack, has been named among the American Bar Association’s On the Rise - Top 40 Young Lawyers Award for 2025, an honor that recognizes exceptional young attorneys demonstrating professional excellence, leadership, and community impact. The award, received in August, marks a significant milestone for Domingos, whose ascent in the legal field has been an amalgamation of her personal immigrant journey and her unwavering dedication to helping others navigate the complexities of US immigration law.

Born and licensed as an attorney in Brazil, Domingos arrived in the United States in 2016 and experienced firsthand the challenges many immigrants face when rebuilding their careers in a new country. “I started working as a nanny before going back to law school,” she recalls. “I worked my way up as a paralegal, then law clerk, and eventually attorney before opening my own firm.”
It was this persistence that led to the establishment of Domingos Law Firm, now supported by a multilingual team of legal professionals. Among those, she notes, are Portuguese, Spanish, French, Ukrainian, and Russian speakers, serving a diverse client base.
Since becoming a licensed attorney nearly a decade ago, Domingos has participated in thousands of immigration cases, offering end-to-end representation that spans document preparation, applications, court litigation, and appearances at both the federal and state levels. Domingos’ work, she highlights, centers on humanitarian and family-based immigration cases, where she notes shifting policies and regulations often heighten client anxiety. “Immigration rules can change constantly,” Domingos says. “My job is to help clients understand where they stand and guide them through every step of the process.”
Service is a defining thread in her career. Domingos is Co-Vice President of the Latino/a Bar Association of Washington and serves on the Board of Partner in Employment, contributing to statewide efforts supporting immigrants and refugees. She is also the co-director of legal clinics that provide free monthly consultations, managing more than 70 volunteer attorneys and assisting over 600 individuals this year alone. Her firm additionally supports marginalized communities through pro bono representation.
Her growing leadership extends into academic and professional discourse as well; Domingos is the co-author of multiple publications, including a forthcoming book on AI legal terminology, and was recently invited as a keynote speaker for a graduation ceremony at Seattle University School of Law, an opportunity that reflects her expanding influence in the field.
Receiving the ABA Top 40 Young Lawyers award reinforces the impact of her work. “It’s an honor, and I’m excited for what comes next,” she says. As immigration remains a central national topic, Domingos continues to position her firm as a trusted resource for individuals and families seeking clarity, compassion, and a path forward.
