Local Business Consulting, an Asheville-area consultancy operating since 2018, is offering a free year-end website review for Western NC businesses. Owners can book a 30-minute session by video or phone to find gaps in their website and Google presence before January. The review is free and carries no obligation.

What the Review Covers

Each session follows the same checks the consultancy runs for its clients every year. The review looks at how fast the website loads on a phone, whether contact forms and tap-to-call links actually deliver leads, and whether the Google Business Profile shows current hours, including holiday hours. It also checks how visible the business is in search for the towns it serves and who controls the domain name, hosting account and logins.

That last point matters more than many owners realize. A business that cannot access its own website or domain is exposed if a relationship with a web vendor ends. Each session closes with a short, prioritized list the owner can act on in January.

The consultancy has also published a free Year-End Website Checklist. The two-page printable covers 30 checks, organized from access and renewals through a simple January to March plan, and can be used without booking a session.

Why December

"December is the one month a lot of owners finally have an hour to look at the business from the outside," said David Golubev, founder of Local Business Consulting. "These are the same checks I run for clients every year. Most of what we find is small, but it is the kind of small that quietly costs calls and leads."

Many businesses across Western North Carolina changed their hours, locations and services over the past two years. Websites and listings, including Google Business Profiles, do not always keep up, which leaves customers looking at outdated information. The review is designed to catch those gaps before the busy spring season.

The reviews are aimed at owner-led businesses in Western North Carolina that have a website but have not had it reviewed recently. Sessions run by video call or phone. Owners only need their website address and business name to book.
