Sandi's Moonwalks, a Central Texas party rental company with more than 18 years of operation in the Austin metropolitan area, has expanded its inventory to include full-scale carnival rides and one of the largest inflatable waterslides on the consumer rental market, a move that shifts the company's offerings closer to traveling carnival territory than traditional bounce house rentals.
The most significant addition is a 50-foot Ferris Wheel, a ride rarely available through private rental vendors in Central Texas. At five stories tall, it is the kind of anchor attraction more commonly associated with state fairs and touring carnivals than school festivals or HOA block parties, which is precisely the market Sandi's Moonwalks is targeting with the expansion.
"We've been doing this for 18 years, and our clients, especially schools, churches, and nonprofits, kept running into the same ceiling," said Billy Gann, owner of Sandi's Moonwalks. "They wanted events that felt bigger, but the rides they needed weren't available locally at a scale that made sense for a community event budget. That's the gap we're filling."
Also new to the lineup is the Tea Cup Ride, a family-oriented carnival classic featuring six colorful teacups arranged around a painted teapot centerpiece. As the base rotates, riders control the spin of their individual cups, a format that works well for mixed-age crowds and younger children who may not qualify for more intense mechanical rides. The unit operates within a 30-by-30-foot footprint for events up to four hours.
For water-based events, the company has added the Trippo Waterslide, which, at 160 feet long and 36 feet tall, is among the largest inflatable water attractions available in the rental market. The Trippo is designed for children, teenagers, and adults and serves as a centerpiece attraction at large outdoor events rather than a supplementary add-on.
"The Trippo changes the scale of what a summer event can look like," Gann said. "We work with a lot of school carnivals where the organizers are trying to do more with limited resources. Having an attraction that size — that handles real crowd volume, helps those events actually deliver for the kids who show up."
The three new attractions join an existing catalog that already includes a Carousel, a Tilt-A-Whirl, a Swing Ride, a Mechanical Bull, and the company's Giant Hippo Waterslide, giving event organizers in the region the ability to assemble a full carnival-style lineup from a single vendor.
Sandi's Moonwalks has historically extended discounted rates to schools and nonprofits and has donated additional inflatables to qualifying fundraisers, a practice Gann says will continue as the company scales up its ride inventory. The company serves a delivery zone covering Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, Liberty Hill, Killeen, Taylor, Florence, and surrounding communities, with extended delivery available for large events.
All mechanical rides in the company's inventory are inspected annually by state inspectors from the Texas Department of Insurance, and the company maintains full commercial liability insurance as required by Texas law.
